My found-object assemblages are rooted in bricolage—the art of building from whatever materials are at hand—where salvaged metal, weathered wood, old papers, door knobs, automobile parts, and forgotten farm fragments are brought together into bold, one-of-a-kind compositions. Many of these elements are collected from the woods and fields of my husband’s family property, carrying the physical history of rural work, industry, and time itself. By layering these worn and imperfect materials into abstract mixed-media forms, I give them a new life that still honors where they came from. The result is a body of work with a distinctly vintage industrial feel—rich in texture, story, and authenticity—where discarded objects are transformed into art that feels both raw and intentional.
